Spring is finally here…but I’m not ready to venture out!

Hello everybody!  I hope you guys are well.

Spring finally made an appearance yesterday, but in my opinion, it felt more like Summer.  It was hot.  I don’t like hot and my body and mind are not ready for this weather.  At least not yet.  My husband made a comment the other day that we don’t get to experience days that stay in the 60’s or 70’s weather wise.  No, it goes from 35 degrees one day to 80 degrees the next.  What the freak?  I haven’t even started packing away the winter clothes and looking for the summer ones.

It takes me awhile to adjust to the warmer weather because I’m an introvert, but my children prefer to be outside so I start negotiating with myself.  Take them outside for a little while because it’s nice.  At least 45 minutes, that’s not too bad.  You can handle that.  Repeat a couple of more times throughout the week until you’re ready to venture out more.  This is how my mind works.  This is how I convince myself to go outside, even though every fiber in my body wants to stay indoors, but I do it for my daughters because they do need some fresh air, sun, and outside playtime fun/exercise.  And I guess I need some of that as well, but don’t quote me, please.

As parents we sacrifice a lot and going outside your comfort zone may not seem like a big sacrifice (or deal) to some people, but it is to me.  I’m working on myself and trying to evolve for my little family.  I have a lot of quirks a.k.a. fears that I’m trying to conquer little by little, at my own pace, and I know it can be frustrating to some of my family members and friends, but in the famous words of Popeye (remember him?) “I yam what I yam.”

Please take it and don’t leave it.

Take good care all.

Until next time…

Happy New Year!

Hello everybody!  I hope you guys are well.  To those who have rung in the new year already, may you have a very happy and productive 2013!  Make this year your own and PLEASE let’s be kind to one another.

My wish for this year is to have the courage and strength to tackle all of my dreams and unfinished endeavors.  I want to happily build upon my relationship with my husband, my daughters, and my entire family.

I want us all to SUCCEED!  May 2013 be our luckiest year.

I’ll leave you with this picture, a moment that I simply had to capture, and want to share with you.  I took this yesterday at my sister’s boyfriend condo.  Here’s my youngest, Sophia, putting together her Toy Story jigsaw puzzle with my dad, her Pop Pop, Angel.  He really enjoyed how she cleverly knew where the pieces went and they had a lot of fun together.  We had a lot of fun as well, watching them.

Take extra care and ring in the new year safely.

Until next time…

Proud of my hubby!

Hi everybody! I hope you guys are well.  I wanted to share my husband’s accomplishments in regards to his Judo training.  He competed yesterday and won twice!  I’m very proud of his love and dedication to this sport.  He has met and formed many great friendships through it.

Congrats my love and I’m very proud of you.

Take good care all.

Until next year…

DEAR PARENTS AT SANDY HOOK ART PRINT

Hello everybody!  I hope you guys are well.  I came across this article below and wanted to share its message with you along with an art print that is featured.  I purchased the art print (there’s a link in the article) because it’s absolutely poignant and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the families of the victims.

Life By Design: A Show about Lisa Leonard, Jewelry, Faith and Family

Hello everybody!  I hope you guys are well.  I wanted to share something with you.  There are several blogs that I follow every other day, but just one that I look at every single day.  It’s Lisa Leonard’s blog, www.lisaleonardonline.com/blog.  She’s a jewelry designer, photographer (she calls herself an amateur, but I would disagree because her pictures are so captivating), crafter, wife, and a devoted mom of two.  I have several pieces of her jewelry, which I simply love, and I’ve given many pieces as gifts.  What keeps me going back to her blog is how devoted she is to her family.  She’s a very inspirational human being and you should take a look at the trailer for a possible show featuring her life.  I’m so happy for her and wish her and her family all the best.

Take care all.  Until next time…

In case you didn’t know…

…it’s Clifford, the big red dog’s birthday.  I didn’t know until my daughter told me last week when her class sang, “Happy Birthday!” to Clifford and received a free Clifford book from her teacher.  How nice is that?  Well, best wishes Clifford!  🙂

Take care!  Until next time…
