Hello everybody! I hope you guys are well. We woke up to another snow day here in Brooklyn, NY, a blizzard named Nemo, and this time there was a lot more snow to play with. You can already imagine the joy in my daughter’s heart when she looked outside and saw everything covered in glorious snow.

Hello everybody! I hope you guys are well. I love wrapping gifts with unique wrapping paper that I either make myself, if the gift is small enough, or find at stores. Recently, I wrapped up this gift for my god-daughter’s birthday.
I found this polka dot wrapping paper in the dollar section at Target in Harrisburg, PA awhile back. My god-daughter loves Minnie Mouse so I found this clip art and glued it on top and then I found a Disney inspired font and printed out her name on an address label for her card.
She’s going to love it!
I also love gift bows and after finding that DIY magazine gift bow pin on Pinterest and attempting it with great results, I thought, “Let’s try using something else to make a bow.” HELLO FELT!
I’m definitely not a pro at sewing, but I do my best. I love the final result of this bow and I used a long piece of thread so I could attach all the felt pieces together without having to cut and start again. I only cut the thread for the last piece of felt, in which I sewed it separately and then tried to sew it on top of the bow without showing too much thread. I wasn’t that successful, but that was my first attempt and I’m definitely making more of these bows so hopefully practice makes perfect. I’m going to add a little bit of glue so it’ll stay on the gift, but hopefully still come off intact. The gift above is my husband’s Valentine’s Day gift 🙂 wrapped up in another gorgeous print found at Target’s dollar section. I can’t wait to show you what I got him. It’s too freaking cute! I also can’t wait to do more of these gift bows in different felt colors and designs. Happy gift wrapping and bow making!

Hello everybody! I hope you guys are well. I love sending mail to my family and friends. It’s almost Valentine’s Day and I’m going to be sending out valentines along with a couple of pictures of my daughters to them all. I could always go to Target and buy a set of valentines, but where’s the fun in that? Here’s what I came up with this year for my own Valentine cards:
Using Microsoft Word, I made a quick design with a heart and our well wishes for Valentine’s Day.
I made four to a page and printed it out on white cardstock.
Then using Anita’s All Purpose Acrylic Craft Paint in True Red and a little bit of water mixed in, I painted the hearts and let it dry. Then I outlined the hearts with studio g Glitter Glue (I couldn’t find the name of the color but it’s sort of yellow/gold).
I cut out the cards using my trusty cricut paper-cutter. It makes things so much easier and neater.
Here are my valentines! Ready to be accompanied by a picture and shipped off to my loved ones.
This craft project was quick and I can’t wait to ship them out.

Hello everybody! I hope you guys are well. I’ve been sorting through my folders and reminiscing with the pages that I have torn out of magazines and saved throughout the years. Hair styles, exercise routines (which I have yet to do 🙂 ), recipes, DIY self-publishing tips, and crafts. Some I kept and some I tossed because I really need to stop holding on to things and try to get some sense of organization among my papers and let’s face it, I’m not doing all of those exercises. Among the pages that I kept though was this one:
This cartoon was featured in the Real Simple magazine, October 2003 issue. As soon as I read it, I tore it out and showed my husband. I told him, “Is that me or what? That’s exactly what I do.” I’m keeping this forever because it’s a mirror image of my writing persona. This cartoon spoke volumes to me back then and it still does now. I keep it for inspiration to do the opposite of it, plus it’s funny.

Hello everybody! I hope you guys are well. I wanted to share a poem that I wrote a long time ago (before I had my children) and had it self published into an anthology. I wanted to see my work printed in a book. Hopefully, one day when I really stop procrastinating and trying to be a perfectionist (when it comes to writing), I will be a published writer with an actual salary.
The words are self-explanatory and the person who inspired me to write this is real.
The last poem I wrote was about two years ago and it was pretty emotional. It was inspired by a phone call I received from my sister who had just been given the news of a friend’s passing. She was very distraught and I wanted to physically comfort her, but I was at home with no means of reaching her quickly. I did my very best to express how sorry I was for her loss and that I wanted her to be safe. It was very hard to hang up, but we promised to keep each other updated. I sat in my living room alone for a while and in order to release the sadness inside of me, I picked up a notepad and started writing. I haven’t written anything new simply because I’m not as disciplined in writing as I should be. I am trying to change that though. One day at a time.

Hello everybody! I hope you guys are well. I love decorating for Valentine’s Day especially for my girls. They love seeing all the hearts and pastel colors sprucing up our home.
Using my heart puncher, I like taping hearts in various places like my china cabinet, the TV unit, the door, etc. My daughters always seem to find all the little decorations I put up. It’s like a game for them and I love seeing their smiles when they discover hearts here and there.
I love decorating with banners and I made these two last year using felt and my heart puncher.
I purchased purple, hot pink, light, pink, and glitter red felt in order to do my banners.
I cut out the triangles (freehand) and then sewed them together right at the corner. For the heart banner, the glitter red felt was a bit thicker and I was able to punch out hearts and string them together.
I put the pennant banner outside my doorway with this cute little guy declaring his love for you!
I decorated my picture shelf in my living room with the heart banner. I want to make a couple more and overlap them, but I ran out of the glitter red felt so it’s off to the craft store. Yippee!

Hello everybody! I hope you guys are well. Every time I come across a Winnie the Pooh quote I simply fall in love with it. They’re simple words that can emit so much emotion. Here are three quotes that I absolutely want to display in my house soon.
The third one is my favorite. Whenever I read it, it makes me want to cry at first because it’s so heartbreaking, but then it makes me smile because it’s so sentimental.

Hello everybody! I hope you guys are well. We had our first, quick snowfall of the year in Brooklyn, NY this past Friday night onto Saturday morning. It was a semi-thin blanket of snow, but once it was shoveled to the side there was enough to play with for about a day. My oldest daughter, who loves snow, couldn’t wait to go outside. You could see the anticipation on her face. She kept looking out the window and going on and on that we had to hurry before the snow melted. She was very worried! 🙂
As soon as we were all bundled up, we made our way downstairs and the fun started:
I love how a little bit of snow brings such sheer happiness to Olivia. She kept picking up the snow, which was still soft, and throwing it up in the air. Can you imagine if we lived somewhere where it snowed more? I think she would simply burst. Sophia likes the snow as well, but she starts focusing on her gloves and trying to take them off.
If it’s snowing where you live and you love the snow, happy snow day. If you simply despise it, my regards.

My husband came up with this quick and easy chicken wrap. We had for dinner, but of course you can eat it whenever you like it.
We used Tyson’s Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Strips, Mission Carb Balance Flour Tortillas, Light Sour Cream, peppers (red, green, and orange), and Mushrooms.
My husband grilled the mushrooms and peppers on the stove top while the strips baked in the oven.
Assemble your wrap (I only wanted peppers and sour cream)…
…and bon appétit.
